Miner Operator Training Fort 2022 - Facility 1

I want you to picture this situation…

I’m sitting in the doctor’s office, patient room.  It’s about 12:15 PM.  I’m there for a back injury from a car accident I had been in 9 months ago.  As you can imagine, this is not one of those good days.  My phone vibrates with a message, “Call me.”

My business partner in the mine was out of state on a motorcycle trip at the time.

I brush it off.  I figure it can’t be too much of an emergency.

I put my phone down as the nurse pops into the room. I answer some questions and the nurse leaves.

I look at my phone again and instantly a call comes through from my partner.

I press the auto-respond button and ask, “Can I call you back later?”

Almost instantly, a message flys back through the phone.

“FIRE”

“What?” I responded.

“The building is on fire.”

I call my partner and he explains that the north end of the building where the mine resides is on fire.  He’s turning around from somewhere out in the Dakotas and is heading back.  He won’t be there for at least 20 hours or so.

This building is the home to the very first Bitcoin Mining Facility that I had built.  It’s operational, it’s actively mining for clients. About $10 Million worth of miners, infrastructure and ancillary equipment were housed in a section of the building…

oh… and it also houses the fulfillment operation for 2 of my other businesses.

Here’s the question I have for you… What would you do?

Welcome to the Mining With Brad Blog

This is why I’m here.  For most people, I would be considered still very young at the age of 33 (just turned 3 days ago).

But for those in crypto, bitcoin mining, or business ownership, I have more experience with ‘fires’ than most 70 year-old CEOs I’ve spoken to.  I’ve also learned that these lessons I’ve learned on my ‘entrepreneurial journey’ are more than just business lesions, they’re life lessons.  Part of my responsibility is to share these lessons with as many other entrepreneurs, business leaders and dreamers, as possible.

This blog (and my personal blog BradleyJames.co) and the content you will find here all come from lessons I’ve learned the hard way as a pioneer in the crypto mining space and/or areas of expertise I have studied based on what I see coming.

We’ll cover topics surrounding

  • Best Practices on How to Build and Operate a Crypto Mine
  • Mining Strategies
  • Technical Operating Procedures for your gear or your facility
  • Tools, Resources and Tech
  • The Business of mining
  • Financial Literacy Topics
  • Current Events that Impact Mining and the entire Financial Industry
  • Much More

I hope you enjoy what I share.  The bitcoin and crypto space is an ever evolving and growing area that I truly believe will change the world.

So I look forward to your feedback, your inquiries and more.

And if you’re curious… Majority of our infrastructure and all mining gear was unharmed during the fire.  In a following post, I’ll share with you how we managed the crisis with our ‘Crisis Management Plan’ and how we took this situation and used it as a motivator to assemble and implement a replacement facility in just 10 Days.
